Tiller Suite

This suite is dedicated to the memory of Belle Oaks founder and co-owner, Richard Glenn Tiller. Richard opened up the doors of Belle Oaks to guests in 2002 as a part time venture to earn additional revenue for the renovation and upkeep of the property. He never met a stranger although he would be the last to admit it, his warm radiant personality quickly turned the venture into a successful full time business.

The large room is decorated with classic 19th century Victorian antiques including a finely carved, massive half tester bed, armoire, dresser, settee and side chairs. The large windows fill the room with light and being on the second floor provides a serene view of the massive magnolia tree and lush landscaping right outside. The suite features plaster crown moldings featuring both egg and dart as well as dental patterned embellishments. The moldings are complimented by a large plaster fireplace mantel and surround. The fireplace has been renovated to include gas logs providing warmth and ambience on a chilly winters day.

Although rich in style, every thought is given to the comfort of the guest including a large down filled Henredon club chair, ottoman and a large screened TV and DVD player for your entertainment. The bathroom has been recently updated and includes a full sized shower/tub and vanity adorned by an oriental vessel sink giving it a bit of flair that Richard loved. The bed features a tempurpedic mattress topper covered in luxury bedding including a plush down comforter. As with all suites at Belle Oaks, there is a refreshment center including a full sized coffee pot and refrigerator stocked with various sodas and water.
