Welcome to the Coke Emory and Lenora (Kokernot) Dilworth Suite. This room is a tribute to the first owners of the home who commissioned noted architect J Reily Gordon to design this Greek Revival home which was completed in 1912. Gordon is most widely recognized for his public buildings including the Carnegie Library in San Antonio and 19 Texas courthouses.
The room features an antique Carrera marble fireplace mantel which is complimented with Carrera marble tile in the ensuite bathroom. The room features a queen sized antique brass bed, needlepoint rug over the beautifully restored long leaf pine floors. Comfortable club chairs are a perfect fit to enjoy your favorite program on the large flat screen television. A large print of a pelican by James Audubon, antique domed clock and crystal lusters adorn the fireplace. The wedding portraits of Coke and Lenora are on display as well as other family photographs.
The room is steps away from the upstairs front veranda which is a favorite spot among guests to observe a beautiful south Texas sunset while sipping on your favorite libation.
